Environmentally Friendly European Composites Workshop (ENVIROCOMP)

A workshop held in 2004, and sponsored by the European Science Foundation, on the development of enabling technologies to address the problems of environmentally friendly composite materials. Although there is a significant amount of work being done on this topic, it is currently being performed by isolated specialist groups. Progress is, therefore, slow, as for example agronomists struggle to come to terms with the technicalities of polymer processing, and processing engineers learn about the variability of biological origin materials.
